US Merchant Marine Academy Memorial Pavilion
Posted in Building ServicesGalvin Brothers, Inc. is proud to have been the General Contractor on the first Public/Private partnership project at the US Merchant Marine Academy Campus. GBI was selected by the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation to construct a new memorial pavilion that would serve as a new center piece on the campus and honor all USMMA Alumni who have departed. Although faced with a historically harsh winter, GBI was able to complete the project on time and under budget, and also meet strict criteria for architectural stone and steel finishes. GBI utilized colored concrete along with custom formwork to meet help meet the aesthetic goals of the architect team. GBI is extremely proud to have been a part of this project and honor the US Merchant Marine Academy and it’s graduates those who serve our country.
