Town of Babylon – Improvements to Rialto Square – 2024-2025

Galvin Bros., Inc. completed a comprehensive dredging and breakwater reconstruction project for the Town of Babylon at Great Neck Creek (Vennice Channel) in Lindenhurst, NY. This vital marine infrastructure project was designed to restore safe navigation, stabilize the shoreline, and preserve the area’s natural and historical character.

The scope of work included the removal of over 1,000 cubic yards of dredged material to improve navigable depths for local boaters and emergency access. A new sheet pile and heavy timber breakwater system was installed to replace the deteriorated bulkhead, providing long-term protection from erosion and wave action.
