Galvin Bros, Inc was contracted by the Suffolk County Department of Public works for a Living Shoreline Construction at Indian Island County Park in Riverhead NY on the Peconic Bay. The project Consisted of Importation and GPS Guided Grading of over 11,000 CY of Sand and 4,000 Tons of Rock to reconstruct the eroded beach and build a Protective Breakwater. GBI also constructed a custom Ipe Overlook and Stairway for beach access to the Living Shoreline which features 50,000 new native plants and 1,000 Native Local Oysters which aid in Filtration of the water.
