NYC Pier 42 (2022)

Galvin Bros., Inc. was contracted by The Liro Group to repair and Construct Recreation areas on Pier 42 for the NYC EDC. Pier 42 is an existing waterfront property owned by NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. It has been closed to the public for several years due to the continuously deteriorating concrete deck. Galvin Bros,. Inc. Performed over 30,000 SF of structural concrete repairs and 50,000 SF of concrete coatings to install a synthetic turf sport field, tennis courts, basketball courts, adult fitness equipment and various site amenities. Other work included custom surface mounted chain link fencing, steel railings and concrete flatwork. The Pier will now be used to replace the recreation areas closed by the construction of the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project.
