Sylvan Ave Historic Restoration – 2024
Posted in Civil ServicesPerformed as a subsidiary during the construction of NYC DEP Green Infrastructure Program at Greenwood Cemetery. Galvin Bros., Inc. was contracted directly by Greenwood Cemetery to repair their badly deteriorated Sylvan Ave Drainage swales and roadway. Years of stormwater runoff had caused wash-out erosion and pavement damage. Galvin Brothers repaired the concrete curb and reset the Historic gutters using the original cobble stone at the request of Greenwood Management. The existing cast iron grates were reset on the original brick catch basins and then the whole system was cleaned and cleared of sediment.
